EMBROIDERY
Qulting/ Matellassé embroidery
Also known as matellassé, this is the embroidery technique used to make upholstery. A padding material, usually wadding or foam of various weights and densities, is inserted between the layer of backing fabric and the material to be quilted, which can be either leather or fabrics of various kinds. The motifs associated with quilting can range widely from floral to geometric and personalised. It is used on all leather goods, shoes, bags, belts and clothing.
Quilts can be made with different types of padding (at the customer's discretion) in fabric, denim, leather and polyamide.
